Tween/Teen
Hikes

Details
Let's get outside and EXPLORE!
These hikes are specifically geared for tweens and teens. Hikes will be chosen of varying technical difficulty and typically be 3-4hrs. Mindfulness games/activities and journaling will also be an integral part of our time spent in the woods.
Please encourage your child to wear clothing and footwear that will keep them comfortable and protected. Wearing quick dry clothing is a great idea as we may come into contact with water on many of the hikes.
*Hikes will be limited to 10 hikers. If we go over 10 we will have a wait list. You will be notified by email to let you know if your child is a hiker or on the wait list. If your child is a registered hiker and something comes up and they can not attend the hike please let us know as soon as possible so we can reach out to anyone who may be on the wait list.
Encouraged gear to wear/bring:
Daypack
Plenty of water
Trail appropriate snacks and lunch depending on time of hike
Sturdy supportive footwear (hiking boots/shoes or Closed-toed hiking sandals (i.e keens, merrells...)
Quick-dry clothing
Towel
Journal and writing implement
Sunhat
Bugspray
Investment: We would like these hikes to be accessible to any tween/teen who wishes to join, so we have decided a sliding scale form of payment would suit this need, $5-$20/hike, depending on your financial circumstances. If this does not work for you please reach out. ALL are welcome.
You can bring cash the day of the hike or you can Venmo @Julie Lain-Trilling or PayPal to Julie Lain-Trilling (jtrilling1@gmail.com)
