About Our Hikes

Hiking is a wonderful way to connect with nature and promote well-being. 

Our BreathTrek hikes are guided by certified yoga teachers and offer the chance to integrate yogic principles within the safety of a group environment surrounded by the unwavering beauty and healing elements of nature. Whether you are new to hiking and/or yoga this group supports community and self growth.  We plan at least 1 hike a month at different locations throughout the tristate area (NJ, NY, PA) with varying levels of difficulty. 

Our group hikes are donation-based, it's your investment, no one is turned away.  

Please preregister as group size is limited.

Gentle

  • Generally under 3 miles

  • Zero to minimal elevation gain

  • 2 hrs or less

  • Bring water and wear comfortable walking shoes

Moderate

  • Generally 3-5 miles

  • Minimal to moderate elevation change

  • 3-4 hrs or less

  • Bring water and wear appropriate hiking shoes 

Upcoming:

Challenging

  • This is typically a half to full day commitment

  • Experienced hikers are encouraged 

  • Elevation change could be significant

  • Terrain is often rugged (rocky, root covered, steep slopes, narrow paths...) 

  • Come prepared! Day pack with plenty of water and nutritional food, wear sturdy hiking boots and weather-appropriate clothing (think moisture-wicking and layers)
